2023 Best Case Scenario: 8-2 overall. The schedule is favorable for the Rockets but features a good portion of coin flip games. We are in a wait and see for the Rockets. They return talent and could make a run at 8-wins this fall. Avoiding a 1-2 start will really guide the season and could enter a difficult district play 7-0. The question will be challenge 5A powers Artesia and Roswell.
2023 Worst Case Scenario: 4-6 overall. Looking at all four coin flip games (Carlsbad, Deming, Piedra Vista, and Mayfield) the Rockets went 2-2 against the group during the regular season. The Rockets enter the season ranked above three, with Carlsbad a few slots above them. Looking at the schedule as a whole only Carlsbad, Piedra Vista, Artesia and Roswell come in above the Rockets, that would land them around 6-4 on the season.
