The Hobbs Eagle JV has beaten the Eunice varsity and the Jal varsity by a combined 110-0. Both games were stopped early in the fourth quarter. First off let me say that I was really impressed with Jal's new press box, field and other updates. Top notch small school venue. Secondly, keep in mind that the last time the Hobbs JV went to Jal they got beat up on pretty badly and the Panther's Acosta ran wild. Anyway, two perfect scores in a row to start the season with 55 game ending points and no points allowed might be some sort of record. Only marred by a grizzly accident passed as we were going back to Hobbs. The body just laying in the middle of the southbound highway was shocking. We have all got to keep in mind that football is just a game and not life and death.
