MVP WATCH
Sam Henderson, the 6-6 forward, for the Sandia Prep Sundevils is the early favorite but the Lukman from Hot Springs could be the majority favorite at the end of the short season.
3A OVERVIEW
Sandia Prep will again enter the season as the top team in the classification with the return of top player and a preseason all-New Mexico selection athlete in Sam Henderson. However, sitting 2-6 are all teams that could end up winning the state championship at the end of the season. Bosque, the defending champ as a duo in Vanmeter and Sanchez that are coming in sort of as an underdog being preseason ranked third. Hot Springs the 2019 champ has a duo with rings as well as Lukman and Salcido are going to be fun to watch this season - having a seasoned front court like this is going to be huge.
