The year was 2003 and the 5th seed, in a five team district, Espanola Valley Sundevils won four games in one week to win the District 2-4A Championship.
Will we see this again? Who knows, but we look into some possibilities along with non-top seeds to win it all.

4-Seed Alamogordo in 4-6A.
4-Seed Volcano Vista in 1-6A.
4-Seed Highland in 2-6A.
5-Seed Santa Fe in 1-6A.
3-Seed Las Cruces in 3-5A.
What it would mean. If Alamogordo or Highland were to make the run and win their district then it would likely knock to other bubble teams out. The field is basically settled maybe except for the 16-seed but this would knock two teams out and that is likely La Cueva and Santa Fe.
