NMPreps.com's Tate Branch 1st Team All-Tournament
Clay Patterson - Rio Rancho - Patterson was completely dominate throughout the state tournament from hitting a buzzer beater, to scoring at will. A state champion who scored 17 points, 6 assists and 2 boards.
Juan Hurt - Rio Rancho - Hurt was phenomenal during the state tournament run this post season. Hurt knocked down big shot after big shot finishing with 17 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds.
Marcos Flores - Espanola Valley - The guard was the best overall defensive performance in the state title game. Flores was great throughout the tournament though, pouring in 17 points and 3 rebounds.
Holt Shelley - Cliff - The big man was unstoppable this season and finished the year with 19 points and 19 rebounds as state champions.
Cade Banard - Melrose - The sophomore had 20 points and 7 rebounds in the state championship and one of a top player.
Marcus Medina - Hope Christian - The point guard for the Huskies was unstoppable in the state championship putting in 25 points, 2 assists in the final game.
AZ Salazar - Espanola Valley - Another sophomore tops the list as Salazar was great hitting the glass and finishing well in the paint. Around 9 points and 10 rebounds per game.
Jordan Leake - Hope - 12 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in the title game but Leake was one of the best overall players this season.
Eric Coca - Capital - Guided the Jaguars to the title game and played well throughout the post season. Had 21 points and 10 rebounds in the Final Four against Grants.
DJ Bustos - West Las Vegas - Scored 11 points in the final game but overall he played well this post season.
Chris Johnson - Carlsbad - The big man for the Cavemen was a workhorse and played well doing the little things well and being a rebounding and defensive specialist.
John Paul Garcia - Tucumcari - The Rattlers guard put in 28 points in the final game and was scoring at will the entire tournament. Top notch guard that is likely one of the most clutch shooters.
Brannon Karger - Texico - Scored 24 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assist in the state championship. Karger was great all season and topped it off with a state title.
Nathan Phipps - Texico - Helped the Wolverines in the title run, had a huge game in the title game and placed himself among the top forwards in 3A.
Brenden Boatwwright - Carlsbad - Had a pair of double doubles this post season helping the Cavemen reach the state championship.

Cesar Molina - Centennial - The Centennial guard helped the Hawks reach the Final Four behind 29 points in an upset win over 1-seed Roswell.
Joe Elmahly - Rio Rancho - The big man is only a sophomore and had one impressive state tournament.
Bradley Hatten - Grants - The forward for the Pirates played well in the paint putting in around 12 points and 8 rebounds per game during the state tournament helping the Pirates reach the Final Four.
James Archuleta - Espanola Valley - Archuleta went from unknown to known during the State title run for the Sundevils.
Jerome Arroyos - Capital - Another player that played well during the state tournament and contributed to the Jaguars run to the State Championship game.
Marcus Hill - Cleveland - The wing for the Storm played well all season and put in around 13 points per game during the state tournament this season.
Marcus Williams - Cleveland - Another player ranked high in the state had a solid tournament doing what he does best leading the Storm.
Johnny McCants - Onate - The big man had 16 points and 11 rebounds in the Elite Eight and and a 9-block game in the opener.
Jeremy Anaya - Capital - Anaya is a player that has played well this season and finished it off with a good state tournament - had 9 points in a crucial low scoring state championship.
Desmond Carpenter - Cibola - A talented list of players, ranked high, that played well this season and leading the Cougars to the Elite Eight this season. Had 17 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists.
Sebastian Gonzales - Robertson - The Cardinals had one of their best seasons and had 23 points in the Quarterinals helping the Cardinals reach the Final Four.
Miguel Sena - West Las Vegas - The point guard was huge in the Dons run to the state title game. Sena did it on both ends of the court.
Malachi Pablo - Bloomfield - The Bobcats had a great season reaching the Elite Eight this season and Pablo continued that success with a great state tournament. Had 20 points in the Elite Eight.
Casimiro Fresquez - Mora - The Mora guard is one of the better shooters in the state and plaed well during the State Tournament leading the Rangers to the title game.
Richie Lucero - Grants - The forward/wing for the Pirates helped them reach the Final Four for a second straight season. and 11 points, 6 rebounds in the Elite Eight.

Braden Fraze - Texico - Helped guide the Wolverines to the 3A State Championship putting in 13 points, 3 rebounds and 8 assists in the final game.
Jace Jenkins - Cliff - The Cowboys post player had a huge tournament and state championship game putting 10 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the final game.
Johnny Worrell - Gateway Christian - The small school player and one of the top Elite 8 showings with 31 points, 18 rebounds and 6 blocks.
Dakota Yancey - Rio Grande - Averaged 11.5 points per game, 10 rebounds per game during the state tournament run helping the Ravens reach the Elite Eight.
Daniel Amador - Roswell - The Coyote wing averaged 21 points per game helping the Coyotes reach the Elite Eight this season.
Tyler Ferguson - Tucumcari - The Rattlers guards was vital in the run to the 2016 state championship game. Ferguson had 21 points in the opening game of the State Tournament.
Alex Baez - Centennial - The Hawks wing-forward had a solid showing in the post season helping lead the Hawks to the Final Four. Had 13 points and 7 rebounds in an Elite 8 win over No. 1 Roswell.
Augustine Larranaga - Capital - A big showing during the State tournament for the runner up Jaguars.
Derrick Reyes - Rio Rancho - The forward for the Rams had a huge state championship with 12 points and 4 rebounds.
Dustin Gaddis - Sandia Prep - The big man for the Sundevils had a double-double in the Elite 8 against eventual champion Hope Christian with 21 points and 11 rebounds.
Ralph Cueto - Carlsbad - The point guard for the Cavemn is one of the top point guards at the state tournament, being one of the better floor generals that can pass, knock down jumpers and be a leader.
Jorrell Mirabal - Magdalena - 11 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the Elite-8. The Steers sophomore guard will be one to watch.
Michael Ou - Menaul - Helped the Panthers reach the Elite Eight, with a double double showing.
Nelson Longmire - Hope - Quietly poured in big games for the Huskies in a 4-peat. Had 17 points in the Elite Eight.
Austin Darnell - Bernalillo - Had 15 points in the Elite Eight, a solid shooter.
Jeremie Kargnbaye - Portales - The big man for the Rams helped them reach the Elite Eight.
