Did anyone see the stat last night during the Tigers & Indians game? 20 pitchers whose average age is 27 are all receiving Tommy John surgery this season in MLB. Any thoughts as to why? I thought the explanation from Tom House was the best. He said young kids are pitching too much & not throwing & developing arm strength enough. Also too many kids are specializing all year round & their arms never get any time off. House said the best thing for young arms is to play another sport!! The majority of injuries are repetitive use injuries. What do you think?
