Best/Worst Case Scenario
NMPreps first look at each schedule leading up to the 2023 season. We give our best predictions and potential overall records. Schedules are submitted here.
2023 SCHEDULE
Aug. 18 West Mesa - Underdog
Aug. 25 at Roswell - Underdog
Sept. 1 St. Michael's - Underdog
Sept. 8 at Silver City - Underdog/CF
Sept. 15 Manzano - Favorite/CF
Sept. 29 at Lovington - Underdog
Oct. 6 Clovis - Underdog
Oct. 13 at Los Lunas - Underdog
Oct. 20 ABQ High - Underdog
Oct. 27 at Capital - Underdog
2022 Record: 1-9 overall, 0-4 district
Best Case Scenario: 2-8 overall. The Demons have a combination of missing the talent from the 2021 team and a difficult schedule. The non-district slate of games will feature teams four teams inside the top-40 in New Mexico high school football. Roswell and St. Michael's are likely to contend for a state championship again. Silver played in the 4A title game last season. Silver does lose a solid group and could be a game they steal on the road. Manzano was the lone win and could be again this season.
Worst Case Scenario: 0-10 overall. Sticking true to the feature and game as a CF or underdog we count as a loss. We'd like to say that the Manzano game is a true favorite but was split among the team on giving them above a 75% chance of winning. This is the preseason though and that number could change before September 15th.
