There have been some big names come across for Europe this summer: Gerrard, Lampard, Pirlo, and Gio Dos Santos.
Of the four, I think the best signing has been the Dos Santos signing. Here's why: he is about 10yrs younger than the other three. He can give you more years for the buck. He's someone to build around and IF he plays well, like Giovinco, that could lead to more younger stars joining the league. They might not be "A" list stars like a CR7 or a Messi, but there are some young names out there that could put butts in the seats.
Dont get me wrong, I like the other three signings and I will shell out the $$ to see them play in Phoenix or Colorado.
The MLS can shift from becoming a European retirement league to more of development league where players could peak. The league could become more like the Dutch league for its next growth phase.
