SHANE DOUMA-SANCHEZ |
---|
Del Norte High School (Albuquerque, NM) |
5-Foot-11 - Guard |
Player Ranking - Overall #2 | Class: #1 |
Stat Line: 25.6 ppg, 4.9 apg, 5.1 rpg, 2.2 steals per |
Skinny: Douma-Sanchez led the Knights to their first state championship in program history. He followed that up with winning the New Mexico Mr. Basketball, the first sophomore to do so. He has two more years left and the accolades and status will only continue to grow. He holds an offer from New Mexico Highlands University. |
EXODUS AYERS |
---|
La Cueva High School (Albuquerque, NM) |
6-Foot-1 - Guard |
Player Ranking - Overall #7 | Class: #2 |
Stat Line: 18.6 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 4 apg, 2 steals per |
Skinny: A two-year letterman for the Bears really flourished this season in a starting role that opened up his game. High confidence from behind the 3-point line, plays the passing lane and defense, along with distributing the basketball from the point guard role. A must-see, top player to watch during the 2021/2022 season. |
ELY LOVATO |
---|
Sandia High School (Albuquerque, NM) |
6-foot-2 Guard |
Player Ranking - Overall: #8 | Class: #3 |
Stat Line: 12.9 ppg, 5.2 rpg, 2.8 apg, 2.1 spg |
Skinny: Lovato is part of a duo for the Sandia Matadors that could have the Matadors thinking State Championship in 2022. Lovato can do it all for the Matadors from running point to knocking down jay's, or grabbing boards. Surely a next-level talent that is D2 to d1 talent by the end of his senior season. |
SEAN ALTER |
---|
Volcano Vista High School (Albuquerque, NM) |
6-foot-9 | Forward |
Player Ranking: #10 | Class: #4 |
Stats: submit to grinejosh@yahoo.com |
Skinny: The big man has been somewhat of a secret but now that we return to basketball and a regular schedule Alter will only become more of a household name. Two years left and the big man who looks to dunk on you each time or who makes a strong move to the rim is one to know in NM high school hoops. |
JUDAH CASAUS |
---|
Del Norte High School (Albuquerque, NM) |
5-foot-11 | Guard |
Player Ranking: #11 | Class: #5 |
Stats: 13.6 ppg, 3.5 apg, 2.9 rpg, 2.2 spg |
Skinny: Casaus is a special player. The kid is basketball. You can tell when you have a player that lives in the gym and just works. Casaus is that type of guard and one of the reasons the Knights won the 4A state championship in 2021. Quick off the dribble and can hit the 15-footer along with stepping behind the arch. His role just grew as Douma-Sanchez will be out during the 2022 season and those big-time shots now become his. |
