1. Top Concession Food To Get? What is that must have concession food you have to get when you go to a game? Okay, here we go I believe there is three things you have to get. I love the smell of fresh popcorn in the gym. When you go to a game in Gallup (Go Tonight) they have their concession stand in the gym and you can smell the popcorn in the game. Very hard to concentrate when coaching with the aroma of popcorn! Next, I would have to say, Navajo Taco (forgive me if that's not the correct term). They are amazing and the best one I had was at a game in Shiprock. Lastly, you have to love frito pies! Well, you don't have too but I do. Heart burn anyone?
2. What Team Can Go Undefeated? This one is tough and I wonder if it could actually happen? Maybe, but highly unlikely. The only team I could ever see doing this (Big School Division) is the Huskies of Hope if they played only teams in their classification. Last season however they played 14 6A teams. Looking at our top 4 teams, Carlsbad (1), Valley (2), Rio Rancho (3) and Onate (4) I really couldn't see any go undefeated into the state tournament. Could you?
3. This question is the one you may avoid to answer. Will Jim Murphy ever pass Ralph Tasker as the best coach in New Mexico history? I'll let you run with this one and unfortunately I didn't get to witness the Tasker era so I don't have the best opinion (rarely do) but I will say what Jim Murphy is doing is remarkable and the best coach of my era. The coach is genuine as can be and takes the time to talk with you. I can't say that about ever gym I've been too. Some coaches either don't care to talk to you or think you are not worth their time. It's funny though most are respectable and give you the time of day. When I went to the St. Mikes game coach Geyer was very welcoming, even though he reminded me about the 2006 state title (haha). It was awesome and I have much respect for Coach Geyer and is one of my favorite head coaches there is. Sorry off topic on the question of Murphy vs Tasker. I don't think it's a wrong question to ask at this moment and very debatable. Any thoughts?
