THREE I WOULD KEEP AN EYE ON

Grants (9-6) at St. Pius X (7-8). Maybe, not so much because it will be a great game (maybe it will) but because we get a true idea of how good either team is. St. Pius X has played one of the most difficult schedules and now settle into a 5A schedule as district play starts.

Valencia (5-10) at Belen (13-4). Another game that we get to answer the famous question, "how good are you". As we get late into the season we start to see more and more who are the playoff teams and who are the deep run playoff teams. Valencia returns after a tough week in Arizona and Belen returns off an interesting loss to Los Alamos last week. The 5A picture after the top-two spots is as wide open as it ever could be. Who is ready to make claim Valencia plays better as the game goes on and with both teams around the 6-8 runs per game we could actually see this one coming down to the final inning (maybe extra).

Las Cruces (7-7) at Deming (6-5). Deming is playing well this season and floating around the 5-8 spot in 5A baseball. The Las Cruces Bulldawgs could possibly be the biggest question mark at this point in the season. The dropped out of the top ten after back-to-back losses to Gadsden and could use this game as a refocus on what should have been a postseason run in 2018.

We take 6 games and either pick the winner, have a coin flip or wouldn't guess a winner.

For Sure Winners to Take
Cleveland rolls on Cibola
Goddard at Hobbs
La Cueva at Atrisco Heritage

Pick 'Ems on Tuesday
Santa Fe at Kirtland Central
Manzano at West Mesa

Stay Away Picks
Rio Rancho at Volcano Vista

Last Night
Dora 8, Gateaway Christian 0
Floyd 8, Grady 0
Melrose 12, Elida 2
NMMI 7, Loving 2
Sandia 10, Hope Christian 6

Takeaways from last night: None. NMMI is good, Sandia beat a quality Hope team and we have a report Los Alamos-Bloomfield split a doubleheader - both are bubble teams.
