Every Friday, Grine gives his three bold predictions for surprising headlines over the weekend. Three crazy picks that could surprise, three that might be insane or the big three reach picks. Last week, I made the crazy pick of the Bulldogs of AHS over Sandia - big flop.

1. The Stat 'Getter': Justin Houghtaling Combines for 7 Touchdowns: This would be huge playing against a Top-25 team in No. 18 Deming but the 3-0 No. 5 Artesia Bulldogs are the favorite in 5A. Also, Houghtaling is on fire, he scored/combined for 5 touchdowns last week. Mr. Bulldog this is bold but bring home 7 to make my bold pick a reality.
2. The Winner: Eldorado over Volcano; Alamogordo over Mayfield: According to Pick 'Em not two picks most people had. Eldorado could catch Volcano off-guard this week, as the Hawks have been battling tough with top teams (Las Cruces) but haven't looked dominate since destroying Sandia. Alamogordo has lost like ten years straight to Mayfield, is this the year? At home, new scoreboard I think the Tigers gun it out with the Trojans and win on a two point conversion in the fourth quarter.
3. The Score Prediction: 62-65 Cleveland: The Storm and Wildcats duel it out on a scoring frenzy Friday night across New Mexico. I wouldn't be surprised, or for the sake of Big Three Bold Predictions, I will that we have several close games in the 50's, 60's and maybe one in the 70's. Most are predicting Cleveland runs past Clovis but I could see the Wildcats score it out with them but fall in OT by field goal. Bonus: My alma mater the Angry Jack Grants Pirates win over Miyamura for the Top-25 upset.
