Grine's Daily Dimes - Wednesday, December 11
Not much on the menu for a Wednesday night as teams prep for another weekend of basketball tournaments. However, here are a couple of games to keep an eye on tonight:
St. Michael's (1-4) at Taos (1-3), 5:30 PM
The St. Michael's Horsemen are coming off a gritty 60-57 win over Capital last night, following a challenging trip to Denver, Colorado, where they faced tough competition. Tonight, they hit the road again to take on Taos. For Taos, Julianna Flores has been the go-to player, averaging 15 points and 6.5 rebounds per game, making her a dominant force in the paint. St. Michael's counters with inside presence from Elsie Odai, who averages 6 points and 8 rebounds per game.
St. Pius X (1-2) at Eldorado (0-2), 7 PM
St. Pius X is looking to rebound after a tough start to the season. After a 42-32 win over Los Alamos in their opener, they’ve dropped back-to-back games to La Cueva (59-49) and Kirtland Central (65-35). Eldorado is also searching for momentum after losses to Volcano Vista (68-35) and Los Lunas (69-38). Both teams will aim to turn things around in tonight’s matchup.
