Strange development in game 1 (Artesia v Clovis).... one for you umpires....
Runners on 1B and 2B, ball hit to deep right-center.... ball drops, runners are within 10 ft from each other rounding 3B.... play at the plate, first runner slides and scores as ball comes into catcher up the line. Catcher catches ball in front of second runner, runner pulls up and gives himself up for an out.... ejected for not sliding!!! Is this common- is the rule black/white or judgement call?
