BIG THREE FOR THE DAY
Carlsbad (3-0) vs Hobbs (3-2): City of Champions Tournament (Artesia). This championship will give us a preview of two squads on the verge of breaking out. Hobbs has looked solid this week and playing their quick, uptempo style well this week. They have limited turnovers and making decisions on the offense side. Carlsbad has the stood in Josh Silas that has played well this week. He's a very high energetic guard that can create his own shot along with being super quick, getting to the bucket. Two teams that should play a pair at State.
Capital (2-0) at Santa Fe (2-0): Bobby Rodriguez Invitation (Santa Fe). The battle of Santa Fe will have both of it's largest enrollment teams squaring off in the championship game. This gives an early view of the two SF area schools that could be title contenders in their classifications.
Clovis (0-1) at La Cueva (1-1): The Clovis Wildcats are coming off a close 60-59 loss to Cleveland on Friday night and hoping for a quick rebound tonight. La Cueva is off their first win of the season after dropping the first game and now look to get another resume win to their early season. This one should give us an intriguing game played at the basket and the team that executes the best should get the win. Low 50's ending.
