Organ Mountain - The win streak extends to 12-games after this week. The Knights are currently looking to earn a top-four seed at the 2022 New Mexico high school baseball state tournament.
La Cueva - The Bears are now 15-1 and riding an 8-game win streak after week 8. The Bears will look to add another district championship and currently sit at 4-0 in district 2-5A play.
Rio Grande - The Ravens are 10-4 on the season and currently on a 5-game win streak. Also, with their win over Manzano on Saturday Head Coach Orlando Griego now has 400-wins.
Cleveland - The Storm had a slow start but the waves have started moving and a win this week over rival Rio Rancho will improve their stock.
Los Alamos (4A) - Looking at the Hilltoppers and you have a team that looks to make a run during the state tournament and possibly the dark horse of the group. Currently sit at 12-7 and riding a 6-game win steak.
Aztec (4A) - The Tigers are the hot/cold team of 4A baseball this season. They came in ranked high, won some quality, then fell into the cold quick. They are more in the lukewarm stage sitting at 13-6 overall and winning the last 3-games.
Ruidoso (4A) - A bubble team on the rise. The Warriors are 10-6 overall and winners of the last 4-games after sitting at .500. They are 4-0 in district play and look to battle Santa Teresa for the top spot in district.
COLD - LOOKING AT BUBBLE TEAMS
Kirtland Central - The Broncos are a bubble team to make the state tournament and this week nearly pops that bubble. The Broncos suffered two must-win games against Miyamura and Shiprock.
Eldorado - The Eagles now sit at 6-8 after this week and moving further in to the 12-16 range. They are 1-5 in the last six games and currently sit at 0-4 in district play.
