I've been holding a summer Q and A session regarding the upcoming high school football season. Check that out or ask me a question here I have received quite a bit of questions regarding my preseason high school football rankings. I will start to travel the state of New Mexico next week to better gage the teams, but as of today here you go. All feedback is welcomed and wanted.

5A Right Now Rankings (This will change as I see teams over the summer)
1. Centennial (loaded, new quarterback, Boston is off team)
2. Artesia (loaded, could they be even better, Houghtaling returns)
3. Goddard (same ole Rockets)
4. Belen (Lose a ton of talent, Lerma is incredible though, great program)
5. St. Pius X (Return some very good talent, skills are legit)
6. Miyamura (returning AJ Starkovich at RB)
7. Los Lunas (return O'Maury Samules/Hunter Wisneski)

4A Top 10
(this will change as I start to speak with coaches, etc.)
Thoughts: Looking over 4A, this will be a wide open year at least that is what I think for now. Cannot wait to see what unfolds in this classification.
1. Cobre (Return some very good talent)
2. Silver (Likely around the same as last year)
3. Ruidoso (Johnson and Patterson are gone. Can Mayville carry the torch)
4. Hatch Valley (Return a ton, sleeper team)
5. Bloomfield (Another strong Allcorn lead team)
6. St. Mike's (Good this year, great next year)
7. Portales (Bronte returns...)
8. Robertson (Lose some big hitters, return some good talent though)
9. Kirtland Central (Question mark team)
10. Hot Springs (Surprise team)
******
3A Top 10
(this will change as I start to speak with coaches, etc.)
Thoughts: If I had to make a prediction today on who will play for the 3A title, it would be Estancia vs. Lordsburg. These two teams are the clear cut front runners.
1. Estancia (very strong again. Maybe even better?)
2. Lordsburg (watch out now)
3. Clayton (New coach, still very good)
4. Dexter (Return a three year starter at QB)
5. Texico (Mason Golden is a stud RB. Young, young last year)
6. Eunice (New Coach, lose some talent, good though)
7. Santa Rosa (It's Santa Rosa...)
8. Tularosa (Return some guys, surprise team)
9. Laguna Acoma (will take a drop losing McGee)
10. Tucumcari (Return some good players)
