Many moons ago when I was Coaching at Lovington we had traveled to Albuquerque for the playoffs. On the Friday Night before the game we were working out and then would go to dinner after and a Senior Offensive Linemen named Jeff Cearley asked me where we were going to dinner. I then spent the next 10 minutes reminding him we were here to win a playoff game and not to eat. This Friday Night as the Hobbs Eagles were working out a Young Eagle player came up to Coach Cearley and asked him where they were going for dinner. He then began to yell at him to remind him they were there to play a football game. Now I am sure that Coach Cearley went much easier on his kid than I did on him.
