I know we've had threads about unique mascots before, but I saw this on MSN this morning. Thought I'd throw it out there.

There is often more to the story for some of these. The only New Mexico mascot from the above link is Bataan Military Academy Sea Lion but it was the mascot for the organization of survivors of the death march. It really makes a lot of sense.
