The following information has been posted by @KnightNation1 and also been sent into us via e-mail. I'll be in Artesia Friday Night and would be an epic journey to Shiprock on Saturday. However, this is very cool and I am glad to post it!

Shiprock is hosting the Northern New Mexico Football Classic this Saturday, September 5th, 2015. Here are the games scheduled to be played at Chieftain field...
Lordsburg vs. Newcomb @ 2:00 PM
Chinle, Arizona vs. Shiprock @ 6:00 PM
We are also hosting our 1st Annual Chieftain Veteran Appreciation Ceremony this Saturday, during halftime of the Chinle vs. Shiprock game. We will be honoring the original 29 Navajo Code Talkers, including Corporal Chester Nez. Chester Nez, the last of the 29 original Navajo Code Talkers who developed a secret code which helped Allied forces win the second World War. We will recognize the 381 Code Talkers who served during World War II, in the pacific theatre of war.
We are honored and proud to recognize Navajo Code Talker, Thomas H. Begay and his family this Saturday. Mr. Begay served in World War II during the island hopping campaign. He proudly fought for his country at Iwo Jima right on Red Beach 2. He also served in the Korean War at the Chosin Reservoir in 1950 against Korean and Chinese forces. This gentleman is a true American hero who served with the 5th Marine Division Signal Company at Iwo Jima.
Mr. Begay received the Congressional Medal from former United States President, George W. Bush, in 2001. Our community and the Navajo Nation is proud to honor all veterans and our Marine Navajo Code Talkers. Our Navajo Code Talkers have paved a pathway of freedom and liberties for all United States citizens and our youth. We are humbled and honored to recognize these brave men and ladies for their sacrifices on behalf of our beloved country!
