New Mexico Highlands University has parted ways with athletic director Shanna Halalilo.
A school spokesman and Halalilo herself confirmed the move Tuesday, but neither elaborated on the details. The spokesman said Halalilo was offered a different position within the university but said the restructured role would no longer be connected with athletics.
