Today, we start to release our preseason awards for the 2015-2016 season. Throughout the next month we will be releasing awards, rankings and players to watch the following season.

6A Player of the Year - Clay Patterson - Rio Rancho HS

Clay Patterson, the class of 2017 star, narrowly wins the vote as the 2016 NMPreps.com 6A Player of the Year. Patterson, consistently played as the most valuable player throughout the season with averages of 20.5 ppg, 3.3 aspg, and 2.4 rbpg along with 1.8 steals per contest. Patterson, led the Rio Rancho Rams to the 2016 state championship as an 11-seed beating most odds.
