Brenden Boatwright, Forward, Carlsbad High School
It was a tough decision between two juniors this week but Boatwright takes home the award after back-to-toback double-double nights for the Cavemen during week five. Boatwright takes home the award for the first time this season and joins a group of talented prospects who will be finalist for the NMPreps.com Mr. Basketball award.

NMPREPS.COM COACH OF THE WEEK
Joe Coleman, Valley High School
The Vikings enter the week as the number one team in the state after beating Cleveland last week, Onate the week before. The Vikings are establishing themselves as a favorite in 6A and will be a likely pick heading into the second half of the season.

Los Lunas Tigers
The Tigers had a slow start in terms of wins, to a difficult schedule that is, but came out the week four 3-0 with a win over a Top-25 team in Rio Grande. The Tigers will be battle tested before March but looked impressive as the NMPreps.com Team of the Week with wins over Rio Grande, Bernalillo and Socorro.
