2024
Alijah Gonzales, Volcano Vista High School (Albuquerque, NM)
Scoop: Gonzales rushed for 690 yards on 118 carries last season for the Hawks. Volcano Vista reached the semifinals last season and behind Gonzales will look to return. He also finished with 12 touchdowns last season.
Kash Roberts, Clovis High School (Clovis, NM)
Scoop: Roberts has the potential to be a top level running back and waiting to see the potential play out. Roberts rushed for 735 yards and 6 touchdowns last season for the Wildcats. The 6'0'' two-way player is talented on both sides of the ball.
Santiago Chavez, Moriarty High School (Moriarty, NM)
Scoop: Chavez is one of the more known RBs in 4A football this season. The 5-10 back rushed for 962 yards last season as a junior helping the team to an 8-4 record. In the final two games of the season Chavez went for over 100 yards bring the total to five games.
Josh Calhoon, Estancia High School (Estancia, NM)
Scoop: Calhoon led the 2024 class last season with 1,360 rushing yards. Calhoon added 11 touchdowns and averaged 6.7 yards per carry. The Bears finished 6-5 last season.

2025
Jesse James Gonzalez, Robertson High School (Las Vegas, NM)
Scoop: After racking up 1,546 yards over two seasons at Robertson, Gonzalez is arguably the top running back prospect in 3A football next season. The 2025 RB also has a career total 15 touchdowns, 8 of those coming last season in ten games for the Cardinals.
John Paul Ludi, Eldorado High School (Albuquerque, NM)
Scoop: The Eagles went into rebuild mode last season and searching for the next wave of talent to carry them forward. Ludi showed promise last season and showed significant improvement that included more carries (127). Ludi rushed for 424-yards (3.3 average per carry) and 2 touchdowns.
