Five Players to Watch
Paul Cieremans (Los Lunas HS) - The Tigers junior quarterback is one of the top fifteen players in the entire state. He'll have the opportunity to lead the Tigers into the state championship.
Cayden Walton (Raton HS) - The junior is coming off a 253-yard, 4 touchdown performance in the quarterfinals. Look for the Tigers to get him around 12-16 carries again.
Alexavier Carreon (Jal HS) - Can Jal get their first state championship since 1999? Carreon's brother had the preseason love but the 6-foot-1 junior running back has has a remarkable season rushing for 1777 yards and 29 touchdowns.
Lovington WR Trio (Adam Aguilera, Isaac Hinson, & Tayten Hilliard) - the three seniors are a sight to see and have combined for nearly 2000 receiving yards and 31 touchdowns.
Griffin Hooker (Ruidoso HS) - In 12-games the senior ATH has 1067 passing yards along with 939 rushing yards for the peaking Warriors. He's passed or 13 touchdowns and rushed for another 10.

#4 Artesia will play host to the number one seed Farmington Scorpions on Saturday afternoon. Can the Scorpions stop a powerful run attack from the Bulldogs? Will Farmington suffer from the long road trip from the NW corner of New Mexico to the SE New Mexico corner?
#6 Ruidoso at # 2 Bloomfield should be a good one to watch. Ruidoso continues to get better and coming off a 33-8 upset win over 3-seed St. Pius X last week.
Don't Sleep on: Goddard taking on Los Lunas today. The SE District gets better in November and they'll look to avenge an earlier loss (17-14)
