Elite Eight: Players To Keep An Eye On
Joshua J Grine
We each know the big names on the roster but today we take a look at some prospects that you will become more familiar with by the end. The so-called under the radar players.
Ten Players Get To Known By The Elite Eight
Dakota Yancey - Rio Grande - Big man at 6-foot-7 is playing well lately and he could be the X-factor for the Ravens.
Isaiah Brooks - Capital - Another post player that has silently done well the entire season. Can knock down shots, boards and an energy giver type of player.
Hunter Wisneski - Los Lunas - We have become familiar with the name but an X-factor type of player that has been known to push the tempo a few times we have seen them. He hits from outside but has good handles.
Ralph Cueto - Carlsbad - We have seen the name a time or two but Cueto for the most part has gone unmentioned (outside of the big time shot he hit). Cueto, has provided the backcourt help the Cavemen needed.
Michael Anzures - Grants - Savvy little point guard at 5'6 that deserves more appreciation for being the little guy making big playmaking decisions.
Garrett Smothermon - Roswell - We know Amador but he has some pieces around him who do what they need to keep them at No. 1. Smothermon has played well and the 6-foot junior is one to watch.
Miguel Sena - West Las Vegas - Sena the point guard that gives you the big play when teams are focused solely on Bustos.
Cole Yearout - Hope Christian - We know Marcus Medina, Jordan Leake and Caleb Meyer-Hagen. Yearout is the guy who makes plays off the wing and when you need a bucket he can get one.
Johnny Plowman - Lordsburg - Jacob Esquivel and Raymond Saucedo are know studs for Lordsburg but Plowman shouldn't be left along or he will make a big play.
Santiago Laumbach - Mora - Casimiro Fresquez gets the limelight for the Rangers but Laumbach has been consistent through out the season.
