DEMING WILDCATS
Head Coach: Greg Simmons
2019 Record: 10-3 overall, 3-0 district
2019 Playoffs: Semifinals (Lost to Roswell 49-12); Quarterfinals (Beat Farmington 16-14); First Round (Beat Belen 42-6)
Key Returning Piece: Jordan Caballero (RB/2021); Joey Reza (RB/2022)

Review: Hand up on being wrong on several predictions on the Wildcats when Simmons took over in the summer of 2017. In three years at the helm Simmons has guided the Wildcats to a 23-12-1 record, three straight playoff appearances (3-wins; 3-3 record). 2019 they proved many wrong again and reached the semifinals and won 10-games. They had plenty of guys to like in Cezar Chavez, Jesse Varela and Aaron Alavardo and will leave voids moving forward.

Preview: The Wildcats and head coach Greg Simmons have plenty of holes to fill but they have appeared to have things moving in the right direction. Jordan Caballero (2021) has some promise at making another run this season for the Wildcats. The addition of Mayfield in the district will make this interesting.

Early Prediction: 4-6 wins
Early Playoff Prediction: Make
Early Spring Ranking: 7-10 range*
