SANTA TERESA DESERT WARRIORS
Head Coach: Shae Vierra
2019 Record: 7-3 overall, 2-1 district
2019 Playoffs: First Round (Lost to Alamogordo 27-26)
Key Returning Players: Matthew Lopez (QB/2021); Adrian Rodriguez (RB/2022); Sebastian Leyva (LB/2021)

Review-Preview: Simply stated, it's difficult to win at Santa Teresa. However, head coach Shae Vierra has managed to do just that - winning 15-games in two seasons with back-to-back playoffs appearances. A task that seemed impossible, made possible. The Desert Warriors have plenty to work with coming off a 7-win season and near first playoff victory. Running back Adrian Rodriguez returns after rushing for over 1,000-yards as a sophomore. Looking forward the 2020 schedule adds new district member Mayfield, who replaces Silver. Deming and Chaparral remain to round out the four team district. Deming has won the last two years and the addition of Mayfield creates for a stronger district. If they hope to make it three straight trips to the playoffs a top two finish is needed.

Early Win Prediction: 5/6 wins
