(1) Cleveland Storm (Record: 10-0 Overall, 5-0 District): The Cleveland Storm are one of three teams to enter the 6A State playoffs undefeated this Fall. The Storm have a bye into the quarterfinals and will play host to the winner of 8-Manzano and 9-Rio Rancho. The Storm hold wins over Artesia, Mayfield, and Volcano Vista. Quarterback Jeff Davison, 2021, has been a key spark to the Storm offense and will guide the Storm into the post season. Head Coach: Heath Ridenour
(2) La Cueva Bears (Record: 10-0, 4-0 District): For the second year in a row the La Cueva Bears are the 2-seed in the New Mexico High School football state playoffs (6A). The Bears have a bye into the quarterfinals and will play host to the winner between 7-Las Cruces and 10-Clovis. The Bears have wins over 6A playoff teams Clovis, Eldorado, Manzano, Rio Rancho, Las Cruces and Volcano Vista. The Bears will be led by senior duo of Dylan Summer (QB) and D'andre Williams (RB). (3) Centennial Hawks (Record: 10-0, 6-0 District): The Centennial Hawks are the 3-6A district champions and third undefeated team entering the playoffs. The Hawks earned a bye into the quarterfinals and will play host to the winner between 6-Hobbs and 11-Eldorado. The Hawks hold wins over 6A playoff teams Las Cruces, Hobbs, Mayfield, Manzano, and Rio Rancho. The Hawks are led by top quarterback Lance Frost this season a two-year starter. (4) Volcano Vista Hawks (Record: 8-2, 4-1 District): The Volcano Vista Hawks are the only at-large bid to earn a top-4 seed in the state playoffs after finishing with 8-wins and a 1-6A runner up. The Hawks have a bye and will play host to the winner between 5-Mayfield and 12-Cibola. The Hawks hold wins over 6A playoff teams Rio Rancho, Cibola, and Manzano. The Hawks are led by Jake Deatherage who has passed for 1,641 yards and 21 touchdowns this season. Head Coach: Chad Wallin
(5) Mayfield Trojans (Record: 6-4 Overall, 4-2 District): The Mayfield Trojans improved this season to 6-wins after only winning 2-games in 2017. The Trojans will play host to district 1-6A first-round opponent Cibola (No. 12). The Trojans hold a win over 6A playoff team Hobbs. Marcos Apodaca leads the Trojans this as the 2020 quarterback enters his first state playoffs. Head Coach: Michael Bradley
(6) Hobbs Eagles (Record: 7-3, 4-2 District): The Hobbs Eagles will enter the state playoffs after a 37-35 win over Carlsbad High School on Friday night. The Eagles tied for second play in 3-6A. The Eagles will play host to 11-seed Eldorado High School out of Albuquerque. The Eagles are led by junior running back Isaiah Vaughn and sophomore quarterback Jarren Lewis who started the final game for the Eagles. Head Coach: Charles Gleghorn
(7) Las Cruces Bulldawgs (Record: 6-4, 4-2 District): The Las Cruces fall behind fellow district 3-6A runner up finishers although they are coming off a final night win over Mayfield. The Bulldawhs will play host to 2-6A opponent 10-Clovis in the first round of the playoffs. Las Cruces owns wins over 6A playoff teams Manzano, Rio Rancho and Mayfield. The Dawgs are led by seniors Ivan Molina (WR), Kennedy Aleman (CB), and Chase Chaloupek (RB). Head Coach: Mark Lopez
(8) Manzano Monarchs (Record: 6-4, 3-1 District): The defending 6A champions enter the post season as the 8-seed after finishing as runner ups in district 2-6A. The Monarchs will play host to 1-6A opponent 9-Rio Rancho in the opening round. Manzano holds wins over 6A playoff teams Clovis (10) and Eldorado (11). The Monarchs are led by quarterback Dakota Powell, 2019, who has passed for 1,390-yards this season. Head coach: Phillip Martinez
(9) Rio Rancho Rams (Record: 4-6, 3-2 District): After a 1-4 start to the season the Rams enter the post season after winning 3 of the last 2 and finishing third in district 1-6A. The Rams will play away in the opening round against 8-seed Manzano. The Rams have two 6A playoffs wins over Clovis (10) and Cibola (12). The Rams are led by junior quarterback Isaiah Chavez that has passed for 1,776 yards this season and 22 touchdowns. Head Coach: David Howes
(10) Clovis Wildcats (Record: 4-6, 2-2 District): The Clovis Wildcats have played arguably one of the toughest schedules this season and finished third in district 2-6A. The Wildcats will travel to Las Cruces to take on the 7-seed Bulldawgs. The Wildcats have wins over 6A playoff teams Hobbs (6) and Eldorado (11). Senior Jay Mason leads the defense for the Wildcats this season with 3-sacks and 70-total tackles. Head Coach: Cal Fullerton.
(11) Eldorado Eagles (Record: 6-4, 1-3 District): After a 5-1 start to the season the Eldorado Eagles fell to fourth in district play and will travel to Hobbs for the opening round game. The Eagles do hold a win over 6A playoff team Las Cruces (7). The Eagles will look to Elijah Goree (RB) and Ben West (RB) in the backfield for the offense. Head Coach: Charlie Dotson.
(12) Cibola Cougars (Record: 5-5, 2-3 District): With the final bid in the state playoffs the Cibola Cougars earn the last at-large bid. The Cougars will travel in the opening round to 5-seed Mayfield High School. The Cougars finished fourth place in district 1-6A. The Cougars are led by top quarterback Marcus Steele this season as they enter the playoffs. Head Coach: Roderick Williams
