Dexter (3-1) vs Socorro (4-0): 1 pm, University of New Mexico (Abq, NM). The Dexter Demons ranked third in 3A football enter the contest 3-1 led behind freshman quarterback Manny Fuentez on offense. Fuentez has passed for 323-yards and 3-touchdowns. Tyler Brisco (2021) on defense have guided the Demons to a pair of shutout wins heading into this final contest. The Socorro Warriors a clear number one in 3A football will look at finishing the spring season a perfect 5-0. The Warriors have several weapons from Nathaniel Fresquez (QB/2021), Davon Hardin (2021), and Dylan Avalos (2021) to name a few. Caden Moreland (2023/CB), Marcus Armijo (2023/RB), and Adadrian Jackson (2022/ATH) is a group of major contributors that we will also see in the fall. Pick: Socorro. Hope, the 2019 state champion travels south led by quarterback James Jenkins (2022) a talented prospect that returns in the fall for the Huskies. Hatch Valley turns to Gonzalez and Gonzalez in the final game of the season. Oscar Gonzalez (2021/QB) has passed for 300-yards and rushed for another 126-yards this season with 7-touchdowns; Jesus Gonzalez (2021) has rushed for 336-yards and a pair of TDs.
