TOP 10 GAMES TO WATCH IN WEEK 10
- Rio Rancho (6-2, 3-0) at Volcano Vista (8-0, 3-0): The Volcano Vista Hawks find themselves in another 1 vs 2 game. Diego Pavia is back for VV but the QB that could win QB of the Year could be on the other sideline in Isaiah Chavez (RRHS/QB). Prediction: Volcano Vista 45, Rio Rancho 42.
- Goddard (7-1, 1-0) at Artesia (5-3, 0-1): The 5A game of the week is again in the SE district. Both teams ranked in the New Mexico Top-20 and a top four seed on the line. Prediction: Artesia 44, Goddard 43.
- Kirtland Central (4-3, 1-0) at Bloomfield (8-0, 1-0): Are the Broncos for real? Is Bloomfield a team looking to return to the State Championship, after reaching it in 2018. Biggest game of the year in the NW corner. Prediction: Bloomfield 38, Kirtland Central 31.
- Carlsbad (5-3, 2-2) at Las Cruces (6-2, 4-0): 6A southern district game with an early alert warning. Wouldn't call it but Las Cruces could be a step closer to clinching the DC but Carlsbad coming off a 50-point performance hoping to make noise. Prediction: Las Cruces 40, Carlsbad 22.
- Manzano (2-6, 0-3) at Eldorado (4-4, 0-2): Manzano is on their last lifeline of the season. Eldorado looking to rebound and remain in the battle for third place in this district, could still earn them a 8-10 seed but need to win the next two weeks. Prediction: Eldorado 30, Manzano 18.
- La Cueva (6-2, 2-0) at Sandia (3-5, 1-1): Can Sandia upset the Bears? I wouldn't think so but on a cold Friday night, anything can happen. Prediction: La Cueva 34, Sandia 17.
- St. Michael's (4-3, 2-0) at Robertson (7-1, 2-0): We have a DC game this week and the St. Michael's Horsemen are back after being left out of the conversation. Robertson at a quiet 7-1 record should get more love. Prediction: Robertson 33, St. Mikes 27.
- Del Norte (2-6, 0-1) at Santa Fe (4-4, 1-0): A win for Santa Fe will improve their playoff stock and also likely create a Capital-Santa Fe District Championship next week. Yep, sounds crazy. Prediction: Santa Fe 22, Del Norte 17.
- Ruidoso (3-5, 0-1) at Lovington (5-3, 1-0): Two of the top quarterbacks in New Mexico will face off in a 4A contest. Lovington could climb in the playoff seed talk with a win. Prediction: Lovington 40, Ruidoso 21.
- Santa Teresa (5-2, 0-1) at Silver (5-3, 1-0): 5A Santa Teresa needs this game against their 4A district opponent. Silver is a lock for the 4A playoffs but Santa Teresa could be in trouble with a loss. Prediction: Silver 27, Santa Teresa 12.
