Eunice holds prayer service instead of Football Game on Friday Night

This is a follow up story regarding the Tucumcari High School Student who was killed on October 1st, 2015 in a shooting accident in Tucumcari, New New Mexico. This past Thursday, NMPreps.com learned that two students were involved in a shooting accident, one a junior who passed away, the other a sophomore who was air lifted to Lubbock, Texas for surgery and is expected to recover.
The Tucumcari Football team was supposed to play Eunice Friday Night, however the game was canceled by Tucumcari Administrative Officials and will not be made up. Support for the two students and the town of Tucumcari poured in from all regions of the State of New Mexico, hundreds posted on the NMPreps.com Facebook Page, the City of Eunice, New Mexico came together for a prayer service.
Instead of a football game under the lights, it was a prayer service at the 50-yard line. Over 100 people attended a prayer service held at the football field, Eunice fans usually wearing red and white, were dressed in purple. The prayer service included a moment of silence, prayer, followed by Purple and Gold Balloons being let into the night sky.
