Volcano/Los Lunas Recap
By Kyle Henderson of NMPreps.com

Recap:
Volcano vista looked good on offense with Quarterback Josh Williams throwing three touchdowns, two went to receiver Allan Rodriguez. Tight end Josh Barton made a nice snag over the middle of the field. Los Lunas defense had trouble defending the pass, but fared better than expected against the run. Los Lunas first offensive possession didn't create a lot of big plays, mainly because Volcano Vista was much bigger up front. Quarterback Anthony Sanchez is an athlete for sure, really, really liked him and they also had a fullback by the name of Dominic Mariano that impressed. Los Lunas Junior Running Back OMaury Samuels did hit a big run for a touchdown from 45 yards out, then limped off the sidelines. He never returned, looked like his hamstring is bothering him. The run was ridiculous as he started up the middle and made a few cuts up the field for a touchdown.

Players That Stood Out

Josh Barton - TE - Volcano Vista
Nick Mourning - DL - Volcano Vista
