No. 1 Rio Rancho 48, No. 8 Onate 0: The Rio Rancho Rams continue to flex on the season with a shutout win in the quarterfinals over Onate who ends their season. Rams running back Josh Foley had a highlight of the night with a 54-yard TD run. Quarterback Nic Little also looked sharp with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Derrick Reyes. The Rams move into the state semi-finals and await the winner of No. 4 Centennial and No. 5 Manzano.

No. 2 Cleveland 38, No. 10 Mayfield 14: The Cleveland Storm jumped out early and avoided any Trojan comeback to advance into the state semi-finals where they will face the 3-seed Las Cruces Bulldawgs. Cleveland running back Nikko Papadopoulos had a final statement touchdown of 30-yards for the Storm.

No. 3 Las Cruces 35, No. 6 Clovis 14: Led by the junior duo of Payton Ball and Brandon Baeza the Bulldawgs move into the state semi-finals. Ball started the night with a 6-yard QB keeper followed by a Baeza 4-yard touchdown and the two continued the tandem throughout the night. The Bulldawgs will face the 2-seed Cleveland Storm next week in Rio Rancho.

No. 2 St. Pius X 41, No. 10 Farmington 32: The Sartans scored first on the night with a 25-yard touchdown by one of the top players in the state in Drew Ortiz. The Scorpions hung around most of the night, cutting two St. Pius leads to 15-12 and a late fourth quarter lead to 34-32 but that would be the extent of the Scorpions efforts in pulling off another upset. St. Pius X moves into the semi-finals to face the 3-seed Roswell Coyotes.

4A

No. 6 St. Michael's 36, No. 3 Moriarty 30: In the closest battle of the night it was a touchdown pass from Gabaldon to Fernandez with under one minute to play to seal the upset win over the third ranked Pintos. The Horsemen will move into the semi-finals to face the winner of 2-seed Portales or 10-seed Silver City.

3A

No. 3 Dexter 28, No. 6 Santa Rosa 12: The Dexter Demons move into the 3A semi-finals with 28-12 win. The Demons were led by Gustavo Macias who had a 70-yard kickoff return ad David Morales who muscled his way to a 20-yard touchdown that would end up being the final score on the night.

The Triple: Top Players From Friday Night

Josh Foley - Rio Rancho - Had a 52-yard fumble recovery for a touchdowns. He then matched that with a 54-yard touchdown run.

O'Maury Samuels - Los Lunas - Had a 40-yard fumble recovery for a touchdown that would be the the second of two touchdowns scored for Samuels in the 16-14 win.

Brandon Baeza - Las Cruces - The Bulldawg receiver found the end zone a pair of times on the night for the Bulldawgs.
