The Rams could earn another statement win Friday Night against 3-1 Dexter. The Rams have outscored the comp in their last two games 84-0 and also have impressive wins against Lovington and Robertson earlier in the year. Running Back Bronte Staugaard has rushed for 670-yards and 10 touchdowns. The Demons are as hot as anyone in New Mexico. In their last three games they beat Tularosa 42-0, beat Hagerman 50-0, and beat Tucumcari last weekend 50-8. Quarterback Dominic Lomeli has thrown for 546-yards and 9 touchdowns.
NMMI @ Hot Springs
The Colts enter this Friday Night 4A marquee match up at 3-0 after a 49-6 win over Mesilla Valley. The Tigers moved to 4-0 and have plenty of momentum after beating Lordsburg a 3A contender 34-27. Watch for Hot Springs duo Darin Wetly at quarterback and Running Back Nick Moreno. Needless to say, this game will be a big win for either team.
West LV @ Hatch
West Las Vegas now 1-3 this season has a tall task taking on Hatch in Hatch, New Mexico this weekend. Against Capital in week 3 the Dons were shutout 48-0. Hatch is 4-0 and has outscored the comp this year 194-49 and they are coming off a 42-6 win over Clint, Texas. Watch for Adrien Grajeda who has rushed for 464-yards and also watch for quarterback Jared Garay who has thrown for 345-yards and rushed for another 120-yards.
Capital @ Robertson
Big test for the now 3-1 Jaguars heading into Las Vegas, New Mexico Friday Night. Bill Moon’s Capital Jaguars have rolled past Santa Fe and West Las Vegas, but the last 4A power they faced in St. Mike’s beat them 49-20. The Cardinals who started the year 0-2, have won two in a row including an impressive 25-20 over St. Mike’s in Santa Fe last weekend. Watch for Ajray Ortiz on offense and Francisco Arguello at backer who already has 45 total tackles this year.
Anthony @ Lordsburg
While the Lordsburg Mavericks have dropped two in a row, their two losses come against two teams which have a combined record of 8-0. Anthony, TX is 3-1 this season, earlier this year they beat Mesilla Valley 38-0. For the Mavericks watch for Johnny Plowman and Jacob Esquivel, two offensive standouts.
Estancia @ Santa Rosa
The Estancia Bears are riding into Santa Rosa ranked No. 1 in Class 3A by NMPreps.com and the big favorite against the 1-3 Lions. Last weekend the Bears were propelled by Adam Lujan who ran for 466-yards in a 59-7 win over Capitan. The Lions have lost two in a row, last weekend they lost to Hope Christian 20-6.
Hope @ Bloomfield
Marquee match up in Class 4A as Hope now 3-1 after their 20-6 win over Santa Rosa makes the long drive to take on undefeated Bloomfield. The Huskies are led by Caleb Meyer Hagen who has thrown for 695-yards and 10 touchdowns this year. The Bobcats are 4-0 under Bob Allcorn and are coming off a tight 24-19 win over Taos. Brenden Charley has thrown for 400-yards, JD Robinson has rushed for 439-yards and 4 touchdowns for the Bobcats.
Lovington @ Silver
The Wildcats won their first game of the year two weeks ago against Ruidoso and now make the cross state road trip to take on winless Silver. Against Ruidoso, Lovington Quarterback Dallas Stearns accounted for over 300-total yards and 3 touchdowns. The Colts now 0-4 which is very rare for their program is struggling and again they are the underdog at home. They lost to Roswell last weekend 43-8 and to Deming the week before 32-14.
Mesilla Valley @ Jal
The Mesilla Valley Son Blazers are now 2-2 after a 27-21 win over Tornillo, Texas in week 4. Mesilla now makes the very long road trip to take on Jal who replaced their Head Coach Bobby Reed with Caleb Aldrige just days ago. The Panthers have been outscored 78-0 in their last two games.

The No. 1 ranked Lobos in Class 2A head to Albuquerque to take on the Chargers. Escalante has won 14 in a row and beat Raton last weekend 47-6. Quarterback Dominic Montano has thrown for 231-yards and rushed for another 488-yards and has 16 touchdowns this year. The Chargers are 1-2 after beating Bernalillo two weeks ago 47-6.
