Socorro is ranked second in 3A football and a heavy favorite but can head coach Dusty Giles make things interesting? All eyes on quarterback Billy Giles (2021) who has passed for 425 yards and rushed for another 359 yards for a total of 11 touchdowns. He'll be going up against Payson Hicks the 6-2 senior quarterback that has been ranked among the best QB's in New Mexico. Prediction: Socorro 42, Escalante 20. Grine Pick: Socorro

I wanted to go upset: Last week I said one of two would happen and Aztec took the upset as an 80% underdog. So, this week I keep the "I wanted to go upset" section of this feature and the team I wanted to go but didn't is Lovington. Also, I would keep an eye on NMMI-Hope.
