Aztec showcased their formidable capabilities, dominating the contest to secure a 54-0 victory over Gallup. Their performance demonstrated the strength of their 4A football program, and their ascent in the rankings, currently holding the 7th spot in 4A.

Rising star quarterback Landon Frost showcased his versatility and athleticism by notching two rushing touchdowns, further solidifying his presence as a dynamic force in the 4A football landscape. The Aztec Tigers improved their overall record to 5-3, and they are now sitting pretty with a pristine 1-0 district record.

On the flip side, the Gallup Bengals faced a daunting challenge, and their struggles continued. With this loss, their overall record fell to 1-7, and they began their district campaign on a challenging note, holding a 0-1 district record.

Their aspirations of defending the 4A state championship from 2022 are very much alive, and the Bobcats have now strung together an impressive 14-game winning streak.

The game showcased the Bobcats' multifaceted offense, as they marched into the end zone with incredible diversity. Quarterback Blake Spencer orchestrated a masterful performance, contributing with a rushing touchdown, while Kaden McCown, a dynamic running back, broke loose for a remarkable 90-yard touchdown. New Mexico Military Institute Colts 22, Dexter Demons 8 - Final

The New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI) Colts secured a crucial district win on the road against the Dexter Demons, ending with a final score of 22-8.

The first quarter concluded with both teams failing to put points on the board. However, NMMI broke the scoreless streak early in the second quarter when Cole Seidenberger executed an option keeper from 9 yards out, propelling the Colts to a 7-0 lead with 11:50 left in the quarter.

NMMI continued their offensive momentum with Cohen Tomasits sprinting 66 yards for a rushing touchdown, extending their lead to 14-0 with 4:52 remaining in the first half.

As halftime arrived, NMMI held a 14-0 advantage on the road in Dexter. The Demons made a strong comeback in the second half, scoring on their opening possession and successfully converting a two-point conversion, cutting the deficit to 14-8 with 5:43 left in the third quarter.

By the end of the third quarter, the score remained NMMI 14, Dexter 8. NMMI secured the victory with an eight-yard touchdown rush by Alejandro Piedras up the middle, followed by a successful two-point conversion pass from Seidenberger to Matthew McCargish.
