Week 2 features 60 games across every corner of the state. Today, we rank what to watch this week in New Mexico high school football.

No. 1 vs No. 2. The La Cueva Bears and Cleveland Storm provide us the game of the regular season. A rematch of the 2022 state championship provides us the headline for week 2. It also provides us with two players ranked in the top three players rankings -- Cameron Dyer (La Cueva) and Stratton Shufelt (Cleveland).

Southern Delight. Both Artesia (1-0) and Hobbs (1-0) opened the season with dominating performances against their rivals. This sets us up for a top game of the week in New Mexico high school football. Both teams are ranked in the top-10 and could be a high scoring affair.

Rebound Week: Valley (0-1) entered the season with much hype and will get a shot at redemption as they take on the Cibola Cougars (0-1). The Valley Vikings experienced the biggest upset of week 1 and now look to pull off a quality win. The Cougars are also looking to get things going after falling in the opening week to Eldorado.

Resume Watch: Albuquerque Academy (1-0) vs Moriarty (1-0). This game could come back into play on selection Saturday. The Chargers moved along with ease over Rio Grande last week, 50-0. Moriarty also flexed on Gallup, 50-0.

Friday Watch: Of course I want to see Cleveland vs La Cueva but I also want to watch Santa Rosa vs Texico or Hobbs at Artesia. The Santa Rosa and Texico intrigues me as a potential late playoff game to watch.
