New Mexico Junior College in Hobbs just won another national championship. I believe NMJC has won 10 in the various sports. This time the ladies indoor track and field team actually won back to back national championships. New Mexico has many colleges that participate in sports but I am only aware of two national championships other than NMJC. I know that UNM got one in skiing. Can anyone identify any others? Also, the NMJC lady Thunderbird basketball team remains very highly ranked and will start the quest for a national championship this week. They have been ranked as high as number two. Good luck to them and congratulations to NMJC for funding and supporting a strong sports program.
