6A Basketball

District 1-6A: Co-Champions Cleveland High School/Cibola Cougars

The Cleveland Storm at (20-6, 6-2) and Cibola Cougars (20-4, 6-2) are the regular season Co-District Champions for the 2015/2016 season. The Cougars are having one of their best seasons in a few years and highlighted by a 20-win season. The Storm and Cougars will likely be in play for a Top-4 seed in the state tournament.

District 2-6A: Sandia High School

The Sandia Matadors are the District 2-6A Regular season champions after going (13-9, 7-0) ** season. The Matadors finished the season 10-2 and riding a three game winning streak.

District 3-6A: Onate High School

The Onate Knights moved to another state championship and the number one ranked team in New Mexico basketball. The Knights are (22-3, 7-0) on the season and looking to be the 1-seed in the state tournament.

District 4-6A: Co-Champions Carlsbad High School/Hobbs High School

The Carlsbad Cavemen (19-7, 5-1) and the Hobbs Eagles (15-8, 5-1) are the regular season Co-District Champions. The Cavemen are 10-1 in the last 11 games of the season. Hobbs finished 7-1 on the season on their way to the title.

District 5-6A: Valley High School

The Valley Vikings are the District 5-6A Regular Season Champions after going (18-6, 7-1) on the season. This is their fourth straight regular season district championship.
