PLAYER | SCHOOL | NOTES |
---|---|---|
Aspen Salazar | Centennial High School Las Cruces, NM | If we had a newcomer of the year award, Salazar would have been on the candidate list. She hit the scene averaging 18 points per game as a sophomore. |
Emma Christiano | Las Cruces High School Las Cruces, NM | The Bulldawgs went 6-6 last season and found a floor leader in Christiano who ran point; She averaged 10 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds per game. |
Kamalani Anitielu | Farmington High School Farmington, NM | We know the name because of her older sister but Kamalani is making a name for herself after averaging 12.4 points per game as a sophomore last season. |
Lelani Love | Albuquerque High School Albuquerque, NM | Love is another new name from this Spring that played well as a super-sophomore. She averaged 17.6 ppg and 11.1 RPG. |
Wisdom Anthony | Hobbs High School Hobbs, NM | The top-ranked Anthony returns for her fourth varsity season. She continues to get better and continues to lead the Eagles. |
Alexis Ayers | La Cueva High School Albuquerque, NM | Ayers is a highly talented junior to be. Her role is likely to increase with the loss of team Jerzie Jones. Ayers played limited action during the season but had a very nice showing this summer. |
