Lovington's Head Football Coach, Anthony Gonzales, was recognized last night at the NFL Honors Awards Show. He coached Myles Garrett in high school who won the NFL Defensive Player of the Year award. I thought it was pretty cool for a NM coach to be recognized on the national level. Coach Gonzo is definitely making a lasting impression on his players. I think about all of the coaches that Garrett has had during HS, College, and now during the NFL and he decided to recognize his HS position coach. Proud to know him.
