legendary basketball coach Bob Haack of Santa Teresa passed away today. He won the state title in 2012 and was a hall of fame coach from his years in El Paso. I talked to him a couple of weeks ago and he wasn't well at all. He was struggling with cancer but was still hoping to recover, still the same guy.
Coach is in the El Paso sports Hall of Fame and was an assistant under Don Haskins in the 70's at UTEP. He lived a private life but one thing that never wavered was his love of coaching basketball.
