So it looks like the NMAA is going to move on the ability for HS coaches to work with 8th grade students during the off season. Good news for Coaches. The other big news was previously mandated by the NFHS, but will be adopted by NMAA based on member approval regarding Pitch Counts.
Kinda cool convo happened when Sally Marquez brought up last seasons SFHS boys basketball team vacating a spot in the State tourney. Her point was that what happens if say SFHS were a higher seed? Do we move everybody up and bring in a 17th team? Her stance was more along the lines of vacating the spot and giving the opponent an automatic bye.
