The Las Cruces Bulldawgs rebound after their first loss of the season on Thursday night to improve their record to (6-1) on the season with the win over El Paso Parkland. Marcus Collins, the junior point guard for the Bulldawgs led the way with 23 points behind 5-three pointers. Patrick Sulivan based El Paso Parkland with 15 points on the day. Las Cruces moves to play for the consolation championship game on Saturday between the winner of Chaparral and Goddard.

The Carlsbad Cavemen (3-2) used a 16 point second half to get a lead and take move past the Parkland Matadors (6-7) of El Paso, Texas. The Cavemen were led by top ranked New Mexico prospect Brenden Boatwright who finished with 30 points, 6 rebounds and a handful of dunks.
Rio Rancho 70, Las Cruces 53
The Rio Rancho Rams used a 25 point third period to improve their overall record on the season to (3-2). Rams senior guard Juan Hurt led the way for the Rams with 22 points - he hit three 3-pointers in the 3rd for a 14 point quarter. The Las Cruces Bulldawgs drop their first game of the season falling to (5-1) were paced by senior forward RJ Brown with 11 points as the only Bulldawg in double figures
Gallup 69, Goddard 67
The Gallup Bengals earned their first win of the season (1-3) with a come from behind win over the Goddard Rockets. The Bengals were led by the man in the paint - Troy Etsitty - who had a game high 23 points. Gallup used a 17-0 run to tie the game and then hold onto a 2-point win. The Rockets, who once led the game by 21 points in the second quarter, fall to (3-3) on the season. The Rockets were led by LeAnthoney Harrison with and Dalin Stanford with 18 points.
Artesia 78, Chaparral 43
The host team, Artesia High School Bulldogs open their season with an impressive performance and move to (1-0) on the season over Chaparral. Bryce McAlister a 6-foot-7 guard for the Bulldogs led the way with a 26-point performance in his Bulldog debut. Chaparral was led by Gerardo Robeldo who had 19-points in the losing effort as the Chaparral Lobos fall to (1-6) on the season.
