James Yodice of the Albuquerque Journal made an interesting point today (http://www.abqjournal.com/822611/prep-football-keeping-track-of-the-classes.html).
He noted that with 6A now only having four districts, and with district 4 possible only getting one team in the playoffs, that would leave 11 berths for the other three districts. That would mean that fourth and even fifth place teams will still have a reasonable shot at the playoffs. A team like Onate or Piedra Vista (just examples) could lose four district games and still make the playoffs if they had played well pre-district.
