Today, we tackle five questions for the Top-25 teams leading into the weeks games.

1. Onate Offense Good Enough To Get Statement Win?

The No. 8 Onate Knights (3-2, 1-0) have two losses on their schedule, both of those coming against teams ranked in the Top-5. Both of those games also seen their offensive production well below their season average of 25.8 points per game. In both losses they score 14 (vs No. 2 Cleveland) and 10 (vs. No. 1 Rio Rancho). They take on 5th ranked Mayfield in week 6 and the question essentially is can the offense help out an impressive defensive that has carried them this season, even in games against Top-5 ranked teams. They held Cleveland to 24 points and "held" Rio Rancho to 38 points.

2. Will St. Pius Prove They Are Top-4 in 5A at Dark Horse Miyamura?

St. Pius X has been solid on ball sides of the ball. It is easy to pick them against an unknown like Miyamura in this contest. St. Pius is playing well on offense, scoring 43.4 points per game and allowing 56 total points on the season - 41 of those coming against Alamogordo. Why is Miyamura a scary opponent then. Well, if you remember most people were stunned when St. Pius X dropped a game to Moriarty - even though they went on to play for the semi-finals last season. Also, Miyamura comes in with a (4-0) record and outscoring their opponents 42 to 7. True colors will show for the Patriots in this game and the Sartans have to flex their muscles a bit.

3. Can Goddard's Athletes Outscore Alamogordo?

Goddard (2-3) is hanging on as the 24th ranked team in New Mexico. They have two players in Devin Quirez and Cameron Stevenson who have shown flashes of being a team to reckon with. However, they haven't answered the call when they face a Top-25 opponent, currently 0-3. Alamogordo is the real deal this season, with big wins under their belt. In wins Goddard has scored 57 points per game, against Top-25 opponents they averaged 29.6. Alamogordo has allowed opponents to score 20.25 this season.

4. Can Cibola Keep Albuquerque Under 20 points?

In 2015, all of their wins the Cougars held their opponents to under 20 points, minus Highland a win of 60-22. All of their losses their opponents scored over 20 points, outside one game a 14-6 loss to Clovis. This season they have four losses, all four losses their opponents have gone over 20 points. The lone win, last week, they held their first opponent under 20 points - a 17-14 win over Sandia. So the question is, will holding Albuquerque under 20 points guarantee a win. Albuquerque has two wins this season. In both the wins they scored 37 and 28 points. In the losses Albuquerque has scored 18 and 0.
