Updated 8.14.2020

With the addition of a schedule - Cleveland High School - we had to add their opening game against Los Lunas. This, like the Clovis game, puts two of the best from the top two classifications against each other. Cleveland coming off a state title in 6A and Los Lunas with back-to-back runner ups in 5A.

Why

The Clovis Wildcats and Roswell Coyotes edge out the Eddy County Rivalry game between Carlsbad and Artesia. The Clovis Wildcats are a true 6A title contender with a plethora of talent. Roswell is coming off their second state championship and an undefeated season at 13-0; The Coyotes also riding an 18-game win streak.

Portales and St. Pius X sit as the third 'best' game to watch on March 5th as both will be 4A title contenders. Portales looking to repeat and the question will likely be if either has players still playing basketball at the time.

When will APS release their schedules?

Well, we reached out and hopefully within the next week we will know more. They have schedule games, seeing Deming and Highland in week one.

Agree or disagree with our ranking? Post thoughts.
