Why Eunice: The Eunice Cardinals are looking at a three-peat this weekend as they host Texico in the State Championship. The Cardinals feature one of the top quarterbacks in New Mexico with Mason Caperton (2020) looking to cap his high school career winning three straight titles. Through 11-game this season Caperton has tossed for 3,131 yards and 45 touchdowns. First-year head coach Greg Jackson is also in position to win his first state championship as a head coach.
