1. Santa Rosa the Real Deal. The Lions look primed more and more to be a Final Four to Title type of team in 2017. This team is disciplined and one of the best coached in the classification.

2. Gallup's Bubble is Safe. The Bengals needed to win, as they were the 16th seed in our latest bracket. They did just that and though they need some moving pieces to happen they seem to have stronger bubble at the moment.

3. To'hajiilee. At this time in the season you need to win, finish high in district play and peak at the right time. The class is a dark horse and the To'hajiilee team is among them - keep an eye.

4. Call me mayb.. Farmington. This might sound strange but they lost at the right time when they lost. Last season they rolled into the playoffs on a high and this season the loss to Kirtland could help them into a deep march run now that they earned that one back. We called they answered.

5. District 1-6A. We are watching this district closely and Cleveland looks ready to take the regular season crown. However, this one seems like it will only get better before it's done. Cleveland (5-1), Volcnao Vista (3-2), Rio Rancho (3-3), Cibola (3-3) is the standings with two games left.
